It is always an honor when a sweet couple asks me to photograph them to celebrate their season of engagement. And it’s even more of a privilege when they ask me to capture them in the very place their love story began. But when the beautiful bride-to-be is a talented photographer herself, it is all the more humbling, and oh so special!
Alexandra was one of the first photographers I followed and admired when I started my business years ago. When she asked me to second shoot for her in 2018, we finally got to meet in person! She was so fun to be around and I loved having the opportunity to work alongside her. From there, we became friends and kept in touch. Honestly, I’d always looked up to Alexandra, so I couldn’t believe it when she said she wanted me to be the one to capture her engagement!
I remember when Alexandra first told me that she’d met a handsome man named Sean at a coffee shop. I could tell through the messages that something was different. I think everyone knew that Alexandra had found someone truly special. The one. And sure enough, he later proposed at the very coffee shop where they met. *swoon*
As a sappy hopeless romantic, I’m sure you can imagine my excitement for the two of them! Being based in Philadelphia, I drove two hours to photograph Alexandra and Sean in the Manhattan neighborhood where they fell in love with one another. Being able to capture them in such a special, sentimental place that holds so much meaning for them made their engagement portraits all the more magical. They were such a joy to be around, I photographed them until there was no more light in the sky, and I could have gone on forever!
Alexandra and Sean, congratulations! I had an absolute blast with you guys, and I cannot wait to see what your beautiful future holds. You two truly make the world a better place!
Their big day is a year away and Sean is already wearing his wedding band. MY HEART. Also, didn’t he do so well picking out Alex’s ring?! So gorgeous!

Alexandra and Sean did a quick change into casual outfits and brought out their pups, Knight and Bishop, for a few adorable shots!
And finally, a photo in front of their favorite restaurant before I sent them off to enjoy dinner and drinks! Ah, I had the best time with you, Alexandra and Sean! Congratulations again!
