I knew from the beginning that I would become good friends with Kate and Casey. Not only are they super friendly and easygoing, but they’re Swifties, and it’s no coincidence that I’m sharing their images with you on the same day that Taylor Swift is re-releasing her album, Fearless. I just had to make this day even MORE exciting — we have a lot to celebrate!
When Kate and Casey asked me to photograph their engagement in Sea Isle City, I was thrilled. Beach engagement sessions are probably one of my top three favorite kinds of shoots. The gorgeous light, the crashing waves, the colored sky… I can never get enough! Though it was a bit windy that day, we had a blast together, and my heart melted watching Casey make Kate laugh until she couldn’t breathe. They really have the best sense of humor, which is one of the many reasons I adore them. Ahh, it was just the best day!
Without further ado, I’m so excited to share Kate and Casey’s beautiful love story with you. I don’t know how it gets better than this!

After we warmed up, Kate changed into a beachy lace dress! Just wait until you see the back of her jean jacket…
There is nothing I love quite like capturing your genuine laughter and joy as a couple. Ah, my heart just explodes!

This is when Kate tried to pull Casey into the water with her! He wasn’t sure about it at first, but he finally gave in and joined her (and I did, too)! This is one of my favorite parts of every engagement session… when we really let loose, have a ton of fun, and do (sometimes) crazy things, like dipping our toes into the freezing March ocean together!
After we finished up with the session, we got to chat for a bit before Kate and Casey headed out to dinner. I love when my couples do something fun after their shoot — whether it’s going to a fancy restaurant or grabbing pizza together to end their evening and further celebrate their love. Because engagement sessions are all about just that! You’ll only be fiancés for a short season, so your engagement session is the perfect opportunity to celebrate your relationship and all the exciting things your future holds. Soon enough, you’ll be husband and wife!
