The fall season of 2020 was a whirlwind for me as a wedding and engagement photographer! Despite the pandemic, I stayed busy with sessions during the week and weddings nearly every weekend. I’m so blessed to have been able to continue doing my favorite thing in the world: capturing and loving on so many sweet couples (from a distance, of course)!
One of those lovely couples I had the pleasure to meet was Amy and Patrick. Believe it or not, they went to the same high school and graduated from the same class, but they never actually met until years later when he transferred to her college. They met when he approached her in a bar, and well, they’ve been inseparable since!
Amy and Pat got engaged in August of 2020 and have now been together for five years. They love watching Netflix, hiking, and cooking together in their free time. I think so much of us can definitely relate to that, especially during 2020! In September of 2021, Amy and Pat will wed at Saint Elizabeth’s Parish Church and then celebrate with their loved ones at French Creek Golf Club in Elverson, PA. I cannot wait to capture their big day!
Amy found me on Instagram in October and inquired about my engagement and wedding photography packages. After chatting about their wedding plans on the phone and getting to know them better, we met in person less than three weeks later for their engagement session at Valley Forge National Park.
The couple wanted to shoot somewhere with both stunning architecture and fall foliage. I recommended the National Memorial Arch at Valley Forge National Park, and it turned out to be the perfect spot! It was a gorgeous autumn day for a romantic engagement session, and the leaves were still looking picturesque on the trees. Before the session, I provided Amy and Pat a style guide, which they followed to a tee! Blush, white, and navy are always a good idea, and they pulled it off flawlessly. Their bubbly, joyful personalities made the session so memorable, and I’ll never forget how Pat constantly made Amy laugh. I had an absolute blast being their third wheel, and now I’m even more excited for their wedding day!
