A City-Chic Union Trust Wedding

Jenny and Tony had their first date in Philadelphia, so it’s only fitting that their wedding would take place in the same special city! The two fell in love with the grandioseness and historic architecture of the Union Trust building in Philadelphia, and from there, all the pieces fell perfectly into place. I can’t wait to share with you some highlights from this absolutely magical Union Trust wedding day!

The Proposal

On the morning of the proposal, Jenny and Tony were running late to the airport for their flight to Miami, Florida. After just barely navigating the incredibly long security line, the two jogged to their gate with only a few minutes to spare before the airplane doors were closed. Despite the crazy start to their vacation, the two finally made it to Florida. That evening, Tony successfully surprised Jenny by proposing on the beach at sunset. It doesn’t get much more romantic than that!

The Wedding Day

Jenny and Tony prepared for their celebration at Loews Hotel in downtown Philadelphia which overlooks Center City. The soon-to-be newlyweds got ready on the hotel’s top floor, comprised of massive windows offering a bright and breathtaking view of the city – an incredible start to the day if you ask me!

Once Jenny was ready, she shared a first look with her mom and bridesmaids. But, I have to say, my favorite reaction was that of Tony and Jenny’s niece and nephew, who were simply in awe of how beautiful Jenny was. It was utterly precious!

After their finishing touches, Jenny and Tony met at the Loews Hotel’s renowned mirrored staircase for their first look. Tony’s reaction to finally seeing his bride was so tender and sweet! The tears in his eyes were so telling of his adoration and affection for Jenny.

Philadelphia City Hall Wedding Photos

On our way to their Union Trust wedding ceremony, we stopped for photos on Broad Street to capture iconic portraits of the couple in front of City Hall. While taking their photos, car drivers honked with excitement, and pedestrians offered well wishes to the two. Their wedding party also joined us for some fun photos while popping a bottle of champagne along the downtown street. It may have been cold, but the group pushed through, and the goosebumps were worth it for the memories made and the beautiful images that resulted!

Union Trust Wedding Ceremony & Reception

Jenny and Tony shared heartfelt personal vows during their ceremony, which Tony’s uncle officiated.

After the ceremony, the newlyweds dazzled their guests with a magical sparkler fountain entrance into their wedding reception. The grand balcony of Union Trust provided the couple with the perfect setting for this extravagant entrance.

Inside the historic venue, a modern, city-chic reception awaited with icy blue and silver accents. Their contemporary design contrasted beautifully with the regal arched windows, dramatically engraved ceilings, and unique historical architecture of the building.

Later on, Jenny and Tony had their first dance, swaying to “I Only Have Eyes for You” by The Flamingos. The song’s title was perfectly suitable for their first dance as husband and wife, as the two couldn’t take their eyes off one another all day. Their passion for each other is so clear! After their first dance, the newlyweds partied the night away surrounded by friends and family. It was such a fun evening!

Though I didn’t have the pleasure of meeting Jenny and Tony before the big day, we instantly connected and felt like old friends! I’m so grateful that all of my couples are such kind and friendly people that I often develop everlasting friendships with.
